Catena

“ I’m fortunate to have had a 20 year career in marketing and business development in a number of SMEs.  I’ve been lucky to have worked in a number of businesses including global corporations such as Unilever, EDS, Eli Lily and in industries such as manufacturing, facilities management and pharmaceuticals, gaining skills in procurement, project management and training; all valuable in building up my own network of connections.”

Catena is Latin for chain or link and that’s what we do; bring businesses together.

Not so much a networking organisation but more a business connections network, where we actively encourage members to form business relationships.

BNI

I started my first business back in 1999 and built a successful catering supplies company taking it from nothing to over £1million annual turnover. Our clients included some of the most famous brands and companies in the catering industry both nationally and internationally.

Why referral marketing? – When I first started to learn about referral marketing I was told “when you have a strong network you can use it to build whatever you wish”. I didn’t quite understand it at the time. I built a successful, strong and profitable business, but I did it the hard way! I wish I knew then how a referral strategy would have helped my business. I’m now 10 years into my referral marketing journey, with several diverse business interests, amazing clients and, yes, a few rocky days along the way. I understand the importance of the opportunity and support that a quality referral network can offer and I’m passionate about helping others to build their business by referral.
